Anna

Photography, screenprinting and knitwear design are my three creative pursuits. See below for more information on each area.

In my photography I am particularly drawn to historic places,  architectural details, patterns, colours and textures, also using my photographs as inspiration for my knitting and textile designs. See my photography page for more information.

I design handknitting patterns under the name Skein Reaction. Many of my designs are inspired by the photographs I take, particularly of architectural details, on my travels. The design pictured here is based on an intricate tied dome in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. I have often used Venetian architecture and mosaic floors for inspiration. Individual patterns are sold online via Ravelry.com and I also design for yarn producers.
